OK everyone...after much thought...I have decided to leave Blogger!
But don't worry, because I'm moving to our family web-site:
Living intentionally
I'm sure you will find it enjoyable to read...Sydney might start blogging, Dad is thinking about blogging, and Mom has been blogging there for sometime!
The blog of a teenaged girl who strives to be a light in the darkness of our fallen world.

What we did today
Today was a long day for us...the day began with a visit to the psychiatrist, then we went to a family retreat. Here are pictures from our day...hope you enjoy them :D
At the psychiatric hospital they had a bunch of rose bushes. So since I had nothing else to do I thought I'd get shoot some pics (this is only one :D).
I love taking pictures of flowers...but this one is my favorite pictures.
The family retreat was held at a Christmas Tree farm. They had a lot of animals from ducks to horses!
Here are two baby goats that I fell in love with.
This is another cute animal I fell in love with...isn't she CUTE?!?!
Sydney and Mari posed for a picture at the end of a LONG line of Easter baskets.
This is who I had charge over today :D We had a great time finding Easter eggs together! This was after she had found all ten.
OK...this is my favorite picture of a horse. It's almost like he did this on purpose!
This Wednesday we will be going to the hockey playoffs, so I'll be posting pictures about that too!
Here are some of the pictures I posted above...but I messed with some of them!

The truth
Ok...now I can have fun and tell you all what the strips in my hair REALLY ARE :D Are you ready?
I've got feather extensions! Yep you heard me...feather extensions! Sorry I haven't posted any pictures yet, but we haven't taken my pictures yet.
I've honestly felt kind of guilty not telling you the truth in the actual post...but I thought I'd have some fun :D
Pictures Coming Soon!
*I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!*

Our family is growing AGAIN!
This is Mari, she is an absolute cuite and is VERY fun to be around!
Plus VERY, VERY active
This is Isabella (Izzy) she is very strong willed, but is an absolute cutie as well (unless she wakes up on the wrong side of the crib!).
She loves to say "uh-oh"! I caught her saying it after she dropped her rubber duck.
The Lord apparently needs us to continue with foster care so we are now a family of six! We seriously thought we were done, but God turned the table on us (I just love it when He does that!).
*I hope you all have a fun and blessed weekend!*

My new experience
Since I'm turning 16 in three days [grin] my mom decided to let me do something CRAZY!!
You see yesterday I went to get my hair done, and I've always wanted hi-lights, so I talked my mom into it. Well...actually our hair stylist talked my mom into it. My face just expressed EXTREME JOY! So I was able to pick the colors I wanted to have put in my hair...keeping in mind that these will be permanent and that I'll have to live with them. So I chose 3 colors...are you ready to hear what they are? The colors are purple, blue, and...green. It's a good thing that it's not April Fools day today, I'm serious!
Just thought I'd share about my new experience! I'll be getting my 16 year pictures taken, so I'll have to post them on here so you all can see my new hi-lights :D
*I hope you all have a BLESSED weekend!*
Blessings,
Ali

Upcoming events
Alright everyone, the details I promised you all! The ministry I have been working on, is actually a magazine for young ladies of all ages. This magazine encourages them in modesty, purity, and in their walk with the Lord. We will be sending out a sample issue hopefully very soon! Can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for this ministry! Below I've listed some of the things that will be happening here on my blog!
Blessings in Him,
- I will be hosting photography contests, the first one starts April 1 and ends April 10. If you wish to enter this contest please leave a comment and let me know. Then send me an email with your picture attached, daloalsy@gmail.com. Pictures with inappropriate content will not be allowed! Then the winner of the photo contest will have their picture on the cover of the next issue!
- Do you all remember I told you about how I want to start interviewing young ladies. Well those are going to start very soon!
- I have actually changed the name of Beautiful and Feminine to Unfading Beauty, because of an article in the magazine that is similar to this challenge! Unfading Beauty will be starting April 12 and will end 19.
I'm soooo excited for all of the upcoming events to take place!!
Blessings in Him,

Christ's Valentine Petition
Would you like to be committed to being Christ's valentine? Well then nows your chance, because Uniquely Fashioned for His Glory has started a petition.
The main goal is to see how many signiatures Moriah can get in order to see how many young ladies are willing to remain faithful to Christ... their Valentine, until their Prince Charming comes.
For more info about this petition check out the link in the beginning of this post.
Hugs from Texas,
Ali

My life lately...
has been a little busy! But I have finally found a little time to post about what I've been up to lately :)
We visited my dad's family and went to the Magic Time Machine!
(left to right: Jesse, Dad, Mom, Sydney, Me, Mike, Grandma, and Grandpa)
My mom caught this picture of Mike, he was quite surprised.
Early last month I had the privilege to be part of the the Governor's inauguration with a friend of mine.
My friend Sam. This was the only picture I could get of her, so I had to sneak her picture.
The capitol building, I had to hurry when I was taking this picture, because I had to hand everyone who came through the line, a plate. Sam and I were plate feeders.
I also participated in the Journey 24/7 Quiz and AWANA Games with my friends. It was A LOT OF FUN and stressful, but it was worth all the studying that took place. This is the back of the T-shirt I bought, the front isn't at cool though. I would have taken more pics of the quiz and AWANA games, but I left my camera on in the van so the battery was dead!
IT was great to have a little blogging break, but I missed blogging too. I'll try to post more, but I can't promise anything REAL SOON, because we are in the process of moving to a bigger house :) We are so excited!!!!
Hugs from Texas,
Ali

Household Happenings ~ 3
Hey everyone! Just a quick post to let you all know that I'm still alive. I haven't been blogging much because Amber came down on Tuesday, and will be here until next Wednesday. But here is what we've been up to:
- Spending time with Amber while she's here
- Getting picture outfits ready for the coast tomorrow (I'll post the pictures of Amber, me, and Sydney)
I'm sure there are more happenings that I can't think of right now. Tomorrow Dad, Mom, Amber, Gabriela, Sydney, JC, Justin, and I will be taking a trip to the coast. While we are there my mom will be taking mine, Amber, and Sydney's pictures. So I will be posting all the pictures we take tomorrow some time soon.
Hugs from Texas,

Household happenings
Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted much this month as I did last month! Here is what we've been upto.
- We have now become JC (Jack) & Justin's foster family. They might stay in our family forever (it kind of depends on if their mother's parental rights are terminated).
- We are still getting used to having TWO boys in the family (when I say we I mean mom :D She would always say she could NEVER be a mother to boys...she's actually doing GREAT!!!)
- Sydney and I have started to find that it is kind of hard to do school when we want to play with JC and Justin. And help mom take care of them!
- We are all excited to have Amber & Kellyn come to down to Texas for Thanksgiving.
- I have learned to crochet and am now working on a baby doll blanket for Syd.
- I have entered in Pratically Pink's fall apron swap and am going to start making the apron for my swap partner.
I'll update you all some more, sometime soon.

Letters to God
This movie just recently came out, so I thought I'd review it.
Letters to God is based on a true story. And it is such a good movie, it will make you laugh and cry.
It is a about an eight year old boy named Tyler who has brain cancer. And the whole movie is about how he writes letters to God about everything going on in his life. And he encourages others to write letters to God as well. I'm afraid if I tell y'all more about the movie I'll ruin it, so I wont tell you any more.
This movie is very family - friendly one the whole family will enjoy!

I PASSED!!
Okay so the past two months we have trying for me to get my learner's permit, but had to take care of some legal things. So finally two days ago (which happened to be my sister's birthday) we went to the DPS office so I could take the computer test. My first try taking the test, and I failed. Wednesday we went back... after I studied REALLY HARD the night before... I failed. So last night and this morning I studied, studied, studied. I went back to the DPS office today, took the written test and... PASSED. I can finally drive LEGALLY :) I was so excited I was even able to drive to my dad's work, then drive in town with mild traffic.

A simple prayer request
My aunt and little cousin need a simple prayer request.
Last night my grandma called and informed us that my two year old cousin, Savannah, was playing and fell into a chest. Apparentley her bottom teeth has gone through her bottom lip.
Thank you all, I'll keep you posted on little Savannah when we get further word.

2010 Summer Reading Program
Just thought I'd let you know what Sydney and I have been up to the past two months.
At our local library they have a reading program every summer. So Sydney and I have been reading, and reading, and reading :)
Here in Central Texas they have a water-park called the Schlitterbahn, so Sydney and I are both entering our name in that prize bucket (we chose Schlitterbahn because it is REALLY, REALLY expensive).
The winner of the Schlitterbahn prize gets 2 tickets, so Sydney is entering her name into the kids Schlitterbahn prize bucket and I'm entering my name into the teens Schlitterbahn prize bucket :) Being there's four of us in the family if Sydney wins the kids Schlitterbahn and I win the teen Schlitterbahn all of us can go!
And I've also found out that I'm "competing" with a friend of mine. He and I are almost tied. He has nine or ten and I have sixteen :)
The reading program ends in 6 days so I'll make sure to post if Sydney and I won or not.
Love a sister in Christ and in purity,
Ali Ann
