Sorry I haven't been around in such a long time. I am working at getting the new site LIVE on time. A whole lot of work, but I'm really excited about it. It's turning out just like I want! Be back soon!

I'm so Excited!
I'm going to let you in on a little secret, I'm learning how to drive. And it's a manual transmission! Ssshhhhh! Don't tell anyone!
My mom and dad thought it would be a good idea to start me out early so that way I know what I'm doing when I ACTUALLY get my permit. My dad found vacant land with lots of roads that are perfect to practice on.
Well today my mom went to the DPS office and got the book for me to study. Now don't be worried - I have about one year to study the book before I take the test. Here in Texas you can't get your permit until you're fifteen. Can you believe that? My mom, dad, and I have been discussing this for quite some time, but we finally picked up the book.
Remember this is a secret! So ssshhh!
God Bless you all!

To My Papa
notice...he's getting more frosting!
This year my grandpa took his last breath. This post is in honor of Papa Dan.
For a long time my grandpa had Kennedy's Disease, a neuro-muscular disease. He had trouble swallowing his food and when he would swallow his food he would choke. In October of 2008 we went to Iowa to visit family and friends. While we were there my grandpa looked fine, but he would choke on his food and he was very weak. When he would breath we could here a gurgling sound in his throat. Around Christmas time the doctors told him he had aspirating pneumonia.
Last month my mom, sister, and I went back up North to help my grandma and grandpa, since my grandpa was being admitted into the hospital for the pneumonia in his lungs. My dad, against his free will, stayed behind to work. While visiting we made many trips to and from the hospital. He was on the ventilator for thirteen days when my grandpa finally made a decision. He wrote several notes to the nurses, but his last said something like this:
"I wish to resign. I enjoyed the opportunity. I have made lots of friends, my wife will agree with me. I refuse to continue intubations. I have been invited to a bigger organization."
Papa Dan, you are missed very much, but your spirit lives on in our hearts and always will be! I love you. Thank you all for taking time out to read about this man who changed people's lives. I wish all of you could have met this wonderful man.
God Bless you all!

My Vow To Purity
Lately my dad and I have been reading a book called Before You Meet Prince Charming by Sarah Mally. She explains the dangers about dating and having a boyfriend. This book is the perfect book for all the girls who want to remain pure. It gives advice when you find yourself daydreaming about a boy you have a crush on. It has encouraged me in the choice I have made in purity.
Allow me to preface just a little...
When I was about eight-years-old I went to a wedding and saw the bride swinging her arms around, snapping her fingers, and not able to hold still, just about the time the preacher was about to say "You may now kiss the bride.". I asked my mom why the bride was so fidgety and she told me this would be the brides first kiss, and continued to tell me that purity was EXTREMELY important. It was that night I made a vow to the LORD that I would NOT kiss a boy until my wedding day. Now that I'm older I have found myself daydreaming about my night in shinning armour. I live every day trying my best to remain pure and keep to my promise I made to the LORD.
This book encourages purity and courtship. It is very appropriate with no language or word pictures. I hope you really enjoy this book as much as we have.
